Adult Literacy Program

This program is designed to enhance or improve upon the participant’s basic literacy skills in order for the participant who is deficient and/or lacks a high school diploma to pass entry-level employment tests and/or the GED exam.

The training program is designed to focus on employer literacy.  Students will refresh their math and reading skills; build proficiency in:  mathematics, technology, problem solving, reading comprehension, language skills, vocabulary, oral and written communication skills, listening and team work.

All literacy classes are open entry/open exit.  Instructional methods include lecture, independent study, team teaching, computer based learning and lab work.  Various methods are utilized to maximize the training effectiveness and course retention
