The Certified Nurse Aide training class
is a designed to prepare the student to become employed
in today’s medical fields. The student will learn how
to provide excellent quality patient care. This course
is a total of 121 hours consisting of lecture, clinical
instruction and lab hours. Upon successful completion
of this course, students will be eligible to take the
State of Michigan Certification Exam and become employed
in nursing homes, assisted living facilities and home
health care. There is a great need today for people in
the healthcare field. Many students will use this as a
ladder to becoming an LPN, or a Registered Nurse.

The
Patient Care Assistant is multi-skilled and can perform
a variety of duties under the supervision of a nurse.
These duties may include standard patient care services
and other administrative non-professional procedures.
If you care about people and their health, this course
is for you. Learn to become a Patient Care Assistant
and find job opportunities in hospitals, medical
offices, nursing homes, rehabilitative care facilities,
home care, dialysis treatment centers, and others.
Upon successful completion of the Patient Care Assistant
training, the student will have mastered skills in
phlebotomy, EKG, and total patient care.
The
total length of training is 12 weeks covering lecture,
clinical internship experience, lab, and customer
service skills. To enroll in this program, the student
must pass a pre-entry exam and must have already
satisfactory completed a Certified Nurse Aide Training
program with the State of Michigan Certification
awarded.

This is a 12 week basic course consisting
of an introduction to computers, an introduction to the
Internet, keyboarding, business math, English and
language, Microsoft Word and Excel, office management,
responsibility, and work ethics. Upon successful
completion of this program, the student will be able to
obtain employment in an office setting or any occupation
requiring computer skills for any industry. |

The Customer is the most important in any
Industry. This program prepares the student to provide
effective customer service resulting in customer
satisfaction and lifelong customers. It’s about 1st
Impressions, Communications, Conflict Resolution,
Staying Motivated, Being a Team Player, Managing Your
Time Wisely, and Work Ethics. Every job requires good
customer service. Learn what it takes to keep customers
and colleagues happy and satisfied. If you’re
motivated, customers will be motivated. Learn how to
keep your customers forever.
This is a 3 week course, 90 hours of
instruction, Monday – Friday from 9:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
